The beach-themed ‘Totally Tropical’ invites you to ‘Escape to the islands every Thursday’. Each week from September 10th, Trader Vic’s Mai Tai Lounge will become a tropical paradise complete with lush décor, exotic cocktails and entertainment to make you feel a million miles away.
New Thursday night DJs mix the hottest sunshine soundtrack between live sets from resident Cuban duo ‘Salsa Express’, including Latin, funk and tropical house sounds.
As the sun sinks over the Dubai skyline, happy hours from 4 to 8pm are guaranteed to get the party started early. Home of the Original Mai Tai®, expect Mai Tai’s galore amongst other new and old favourites; the expert mixologists create cocktails that are every bit delicious as they are potent. ‘Totally Tropical’ is perfect for a pre-dinner drink, an after dinner destination, or a group celebration. Just don’t expect a quiet night!

Tuesday 15th September will also mark the launch of the eagerly anticipated ‘Luau Ladies’ Night’ at the Mai Tai Lounge, inviting females across the city to let their hair down, wear a flower Lei and join in this traditional Hawaiian fiesta.
Ladies enjoy a special menu consisting of favourite tidbits like tempura calamari and chicken kasoori skewers alongside cocktails such as the delicious Rhum Cosmo and every girl’s favourite tipple, the Wahine, of which a selection can be enjoyed for just AED 90 per person.
There’s shopping too: But that’s not all; Ladies’ will also be spoilt with treats galore from fashion and beauty brands. There’s opportunity to shop ‘til you drop with a regular pop up store from Dubai’s coolest new resort wear brand, Maarli. With its ‘beach to bar’ fashion and accessories labels, Maarli searches the world’s hippest resorts and beach clubs for the coolest boutique collections representing that laid-back ‘polished-boho’ vibe.
Luau’s are an ancient island tradition, a party and/or feast accompanied by entertainment that first began when women were allowed to join their male counterparts for dinner and recreation.
