Food

Starters

It’s seen as sinister by many if you go to an Italian restaurant and don’t try the burrata. Fresh cheese is always the mark of a satisfying meal. We opted in, afraid of angering the Italian food spirits.

While it may not be the best burrata in town, its simplicity elevated by fresh tomatoes and basil leaves colored our palates hungry.

Next came the Crispy Shrimps, Calamari and Courgettes – Your regular deep-fried extravaganza. The house dip that comes with it is finger-licking good, though.

Mains

There was a gladiator that rose among the mains and screamed off the plate: “Are you not satisfied?”

It was the delicious, layered and truffle-scented risotto. If you’ve watched any episode of any Masterchef series, you know risotto is a difficult dish to nail. It sings with mushrooms, cheese, well-cooked rice and more mushrooms.

The pizzas are good for sharing with a wide variety and a fresh bread base. The paccheri pasta with tomato sauce, Italian at its most basic, came highly recommended – al dente, this is one you need to eat while hot.

Desserts

The tiramisu is exquisite – classic, caffeinated and delectable. Try it with coffee and you’ll be hopped up for the rest of the day. The cannoli is decadent, cream-filled and quite heavy on the palate, so pair it with a light green tea.

Service & Ambience

Amidst the hustle and bustle of DIFC, Dinamico is a haven. The outdoors terrace, with minimalistic décor, black beanbag chairs, a lush lawn area and candlelight create a soothing atmosphere.

The smiling and supportive service staff and hostess, who are happy to give recommendations and fill you in on the chef’s specials, enhance this feeling of calm.
