“I tried so very hard not to lose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought, I thought of every possibility”

He really does have the world on a string, Michael Buble. Fans across the GCC who just haven’t met him yet will soon be wrapping themselves in the warmth of his voice at the Dubai International Stadium on 12th and 13th March, as part of his To Be Loved world tour.

Eagerly standing in line to spend an evening in Dubai after a series of nearly 200 high profile gigs across the world, Bublé is quite looking forward to his first time in the Middle East: “I have travelled to many wonderful places around the world but the Middle East is somewhere that I have always wanted to perform.  I have such incredibly loyal and supportive fans here in the UAE and I cannot wait to meet them.”

His loyal legion of fans is set [with snow and mistletoe and presents by the tree] to hear songs from his much-awaited sixth studio album “To Be Loved”, which hit number one in 11 countries and earned Bublé a Grammy award for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album”.

Check out Buble’s velvety rendition of “I’ll be home for Christmas” for an NBC Christmas Special, dedicated to soldiers away from family.

The old-school soul singer’s impressive combination of style and substance will be on show for two beautiful days, and there’s no denying that fans who have snapped up a limited number of tickets have a treat in store as Bublé belts out hits like It’s A Beautiful Day and Somethin’ Stupid and song covers from artists Bublé says have inspired him over the years – including The Bee Gees and The Jackson Five.

“Although I will only be in Dubai for a short time, I promise you it will be a night to remember.  I want to take you on a wonderful journey about love – all different kinds of love. The album swings big time – it rocks – it’s soulful – it’s happy – sometimes a little sad – it’s romantic – it’s yummy and it’s heartfelt” says Buble. We can’t wait to be drenched in the deliciousness that is his voice and you won’t hear us complaining even if it begins raining.

“We might have to wait, we’ll never give up
We guess it’s half timing and the other half’s luck
Wherever you are, whenever it’s right
You’ll come out of nowhere and into our lives”

You didn’t imagine it: if you spotted the Michael Buble lyrics in every line of this article, you are a true, true fan. We’ll see you at the concert!
