On Saturday, April 8 2017, British singer and heartthrob Jamie Cullum is confirmed to close the White Nights Dubai line up – the first musical festival of its kind – at Dubai Opera.

Cullum is set to close this series of spectacular shows that include Mezzo Soprano Katherine Jenkins OBE together with Britain’s leading Tenor Alfie Boe opening the event in concert together on Thursday, March 30 ; virtuoso violinist David Garrett with special guest pianist Khatia Buniatishvili on Saturday, April 1; the ‘Number 1 Opera Singer in the World’, Jonas Kaufmann on Thursday, April 6; and superstar soprano Angela Gheorghiu on Friday, April 7.

With a Grammy, two Golden Globe, two GQ Man of the Year, three Brit, three Sony Radio and numerous other nominations and awards under his belt, Jamie Cullum is a success story around the planet.

He is the most successful UK jazz artist ever, having sold over 10 million albums worldwide. It’s through jazz that Jamie first made his mark but it is his knowledge and love of all music that has helped propel him onto the world stage.

Last time Jamie was in town as part of the Emirates Airlines Jazz Festival, he had men and women swooning at the stage, flirting with a crowd effortlessly – with Jazz and unparalleled charm. Energetic and a little flamboyant, he flitted from instrument to instrument, prompting sing-alongs and cheers.

You won’t be needing your seats for this one.

Ten years on from his first major recording contract, Jamie and Universal entered into a new deal that moved his label base to the iconic Island Records, historic home of U2, Bob Marley and Grace Jones and current label of Mumford & Sons, Disclosure and Florence and the Machine. His artistic freedom guaranteed Jamie created his most mainstream song based album yet, ‘Momentum’. This allowed him to continue onto his jazz roots to produce ‘Interlude’ in three studio days.
