STREETCON – Urban Art Jam
This is definitely at the top of our list. All your senses are sure to be teeming with joy as music, art and theatre fills Al Ghurair Centre on the 23rd of April – and it’s not a picture-on-the-wall, let’s-stare-at-it-for-hours kind of art. Streetcon is a huge step in making art accessible to the community.
Watch art in action: Walk into the NEONROOM where Matt Ryder splatters paint on a wall with mesmerizing patterns, attend the Fumes workshop where you can learn how to handle spray paint cans [Watch out, vandals!] & much more.
When: April 23 – May 2, 4pm to 10pm

Bob Sinclar at Cavalli Club
‘World Hold On’ and ‘Love Generation’ will only mark a few highlights of this well-known DJ and producer, Bob Sinclar’s set. His funky mix of disco and house music will have your feet popping all night long.

JLT Outdoor Cinema Season
Open-air cinema and live entertainment – it doesn’t get better than this if you’re looking for a cosy evening out. It’s taking place until April 25, featuring films from the Dubai International Film Festival and delicious culinary treats every week [Last week, it was Maria Bonita Taco Shop, Piccadilly Whippy and Pizza Coni with lots of Red Bull].
This Friday, they are showing ‘Ocean Waves’ and this Saturday, the featured film is Kon Tiki.

Jason Byrne at The Baggot, McGettigan’s JLT
This highly acclaimed Irish comedian is sure to have you in stitches on Thursday. Returning to Dubai with his new show, Cirque Du Byrne promises to be an unmatchable laugh-fest [with drinks!].

Ladies Night at Yas Waterworld, Abu Dhabi
Okay – technically, this isn’t in Dubai, but it’s quite worth the drive. Round up the girls, get your body decorated in glow-in-the-dark paint, dance to the tunes of a live female DJ and enjoy dance and acrobatic performances all evening. Let’s not forget the adrenaline-pumping rides!

Dubai Desert Road Run
For all the athletes out there who fancy a run in the desert, the Dubai Desert Road Run is taking place this Saturday – with two categories, 3km and 10km. The 3km run is for adults aged above 14 years. A great gathering to meet fellows that can run beside you and keep you running all year round.
