AllSaints #BikerPortraits is looking for its next scenic location and cast. Show them your biker jacket and the real Dubai to stay in the mix.
All the signs are there – pop-up food trucks and fests, small theatre and open mic meet-ups, graffiti taking over parts of Dubai, genre-specific lounges, a skate park like no where else in the world.
Dubai has an infantile, yet very visible, sub-culture that it’s part-imitating and part-adopting from everywhere else in the world. While this young city may not have enough time under its belt to nurture a thriving alt culture, there are certainly individuals here who live and breathe the James Dean persona.
So, when AllSaints launched their #BikerPortraits project this year, we were all over it.
The same passionate youthful quality, AllSaints took three aspects of what we love most and put it together: stylish biker jackets, the real streets of a city and photography.
The photographic project, #BikerPortraits, cast and shot on the streets of New York City, highlights inspiring local individuals in their home cities, wearing AllSaints iconic biker jackets.
A good example of when brands don’t take, but add to, the chill of a concept.
As with the series’ previous chapters – created in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo – the latest portraits capture all the attitude of the city and the sense of freedom inherent to both youth and the now infamous bad-boy biker jacket.
It could be a call to gather the rebels, or maybe a snapshot of what’s to come in Dubai. So, throw on your favourite AllSaints biker, take your own Biker Portrait using a plain white background or your city as a backdrop, and share it with us via #BikerPortraits.
