We go looking for soothing blue waters, mountains, and culturally rich experiences all over the world. Drinks by the beach and exquisite pools are the stuff dream holidays are made of.
Ras Al Khaimah, tucked away in the north of the UAE, is a highly underrated destination, that has all of the above and more. The city, translating to ‘top of the tent’ in Arabic, houses adventure sports, farmers’ markets, music festivals and more.
If you think it’s all about Iceland Waterpark and camping in the Hajar mountains [which admittedly, is awesome], think again. For these unique activities in Ras Al Khaimah, you’ll need are 3 days and an adventurous spirit:
1. Visit the ol’ date farms
It’s what the Middle East is famous for – at the heart of its hospitality and customs. The date fruit is grown extensively all around Ras Al Khaimah, making it the home of one of the best date farms in the country.
The best way to take in the Middle Eastern culture is by tasting it fresh from the farm- with over 18 different kinds of dates to choose from.
