You glance over to your side, and your friend grins back at you amidst clinking glasses and tantalizing music. You’re surrounded by the warmth of scarlet, burgundy and crimson. Strangers feel like friends and friends feel like family. There’s something in the air tonight that makes you forget about your schedule tomorrow. It makes you forget everything. You feel light headed, and as you look up at the sparkling roof, you know that, in this moment, you need nothing more.

B-Change has partnered up with Celebration of Life, an organization that has hosted glamorous annual fundraising events for 5 years running now. The funds from these gatherings go towards medical research and education; this year, the money will be donated to Friends of Cancer Patients UAE, The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, Choice 2 Change Foundation, Harmony House, Marie Curie Cancer Care UK and Red Crescent.

The spirit of Celebration of Life began with Rasheda Khatun, a strong Bangladeshi woman, who decided that even 4th-stage Cancer can’t take away her will to live. With a tinkling sense of humor, she’s a fearless ‘Cancer-kicking warrior’ and, without a doubt, one of the brightest people we’ve ever met. Rasheda designed Celebration of Life to remind everyone around her to stop living in the past or future, and to savour the present moment – because in this moment, we’re alive.

So, come celebrate life with us on the 7th of November, with complimentary dinner and drinks, live music, auctions and more. And bring your love and loved ones!
