Were You Forced Into Your Career Choice?

You have company amongst the greats, my friend. Michelangelo, the famous creator of the Sistine Chapel, was always interested in sculpture and it is well known that he despised painting. Regardless, he was commissioned to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by the Medicis [a powerful family back then] and the Pope [He had no choice in the matter]

He endured 4 years of painting with misery and despair [makes college look do-able eh?]. He wrote to his friend in agony:

”I am bent like a bow and my back aches. Dear friend, rescue me now. I am not in a good place. And I am no painter”
