Chetna Vaidyanathan Music ,,

Raving electronic music, flashing neon lights and clinking glasses, while you and your pack of friends indulge in mindless dancing, howling as the DJ drops the beat. That’s a night out clubbing, but in the face of fast-approaching summer when beads of sweat and condensation have you feeling light-headed, you may want to turn the tempo down.

The ‘Chill-out’ music, a fusion of several genres including electronic, house, trip-hop, lounge and jazz, emerged in London clubs where music with mid-tempo beats was used to mellow the crowd down. Clubs everywhere soon incorporated ‘chill-out’ rooms where dancers could relax and grab a drink while listening to music.

As the sweater weather recedes and the scorching sun takes over Dubai, here’s the ultimate chill out playlist to relax this summer:

1. Free – Rudimental ft. Emeli Sandé

British bass and drum band Rudimental, popular for creating soul tracks, released Free as the 6th single from their debut studio album. This mesmerizing single featuring Scottish singer and songwriter Emeli Sandé has pure folk beats straight from the culture rich Highlands of Scotland.

Habits is a hipster track in disguise of a pop song, but the music video captures the true essence of this scintillating track. Tove Lo sings of her failed relationship and how she resorts to drinking and clubbing all night for pleasure and getting over her past.
