Well, it’s all about the money! Or is it?!

There are around 20 million Indians expats and about a quarter of them are employed in the Middle East. They come seeking better job prospects and higher salaries than they can find at home.

While the majority of Indians expats in the UAE are blue collar workers, there are growing ranks of white collar workers and skilled professionals. Salesmen, clerical staff and accountants are looking further afield for work as are doctors, nurses and architects.

Watch the videos below as we talk to all the parties concerned including Kulwant Singh, President, Indian Business Council in Dubai and KV Shamsudheen, Founder, Pravasi Bandhu Welfare Trust (billionaire philanthropist, recently ranked 9th most powerful Indian in ME).

The above are exclusive episodes of CNN Marketplace Middle East shared as part of a partnership between B-Change and CNN.
