Backstage productions is a theatre company based in Dubai. Here’s the premise of their play, “Immediately after a young couple, Peter and Rita, have exchanged wedding vows, an unknown elderly man asks to kiss the bride. As he does, Rita’s soul and the old man’s magically exchange bodies.”

Ladies In Paint Art Exhibition

THSWKND: 7 Things To Do In Dubai April 30- May 2, 2015

Featuring the work of Susan Brooker, an artist inspired by graffiti, the exhibition will host contemporary portrait paintings of beautiful and iconic women. In this series of paintings she has depicted femininity by using thick, vibrant oils and just a palette knife. The aim of Susan’s paintings is to make a visual impact by capturing a portrait in a unique way that doesn’t blend into the surroundings.

Internal Affairs – A Comedy Theatre Play

The story of this play revolves around Sid, who after just joining a new job, gets into an unexpected relationship with fellow coworker after a company night out. Their official site promises that the actors will have you at the edge of their seats with laughter and suspense as they tell you their story. on stage at the Grand midwest Hotel.

This is definitely at the top of our list. All your senses are sure to be teeming with joy as music, art and theatre fills Al Ghurair Centre on the 23rd of April – and it’s not a picture-on-the-wall, let’s-stare-at-it-for-hours kind of art. Streetcon is a huge step in making art accessible to the community.

Watch art in action: Walk into the NEONROOM where Matt Ryder splatters paint on a wall with mesmerizing patterns, attend the Fumes workshop where you can learn how to handle spray paint cans [Watch out, vandals!] & much more.
