“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”

Strolling down Diagon Alley, enjoying a pint of butter beer at the Three Broomsticks and of course, walking into the Great Halls at Hogwarts are all things we’ve dreamed of – both as children and adults. The good news? The magic of Harry Potter is coming to Dubai, thanks to the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature and Costa Coffee Open Door Series. It’s Harry Potter Book Night on February 5  at the Dubai International Writers’ Centre, as the Al Shindagha Historical Neighbourhood will be transformed into various locations of the best-selling fantasy series.

“We are bringing magic to Dubai!” says Isobel Abulhoul, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation and Festival Director of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. “..This is an amazing opportunity for readers of the book, children and adults, to relive the excitement of the books while introducing the series to new readers.”

Don’t forget to carry your Invisibility cloak when you join an exciting treasure hunt that takes you through the lanes of ‘Diagon Alley’. These are dark times we live in. Think you know the books and films by heart? [After having watched an dread each a million times]. Our quiz will put your memory to the test [and no, there won’t be any Liquid Luck to help you].

B-Change will definitely be there to explore the secrets of the Forbidden Forest and meet all of you. Excited to join us, Potterheads? Registration for the Book Night is open now on the Emirates Lit Fest website.

Fellow readers, you can find more information about the Festival on the website: www.emirateslitfest.com. Follow the festival on FacebookTwitter, Instagram and/or YouTube for competitions and more updates.
