Creamfields is become a tradition in the UAE. Let’s look back at the seven past performances at Creamfields Abu Dhabi that set the stage for 2017:

2009: Calvin Harris

Believe it or not, the inaugural Creamfields Abu Dhabi, held at Emirates Palace, was headlined by none other than Scottish electro mastermind, Calvin Harris. Harris brought a set list of pure energy to the first ever Creamfields, featuring his famed singles The Girls, Acceptable in the 80s and Ready for the Weekend.

2011: Tiesto, deadmau5 and Mister Outlaw

2011 marked the first ever two-day Creamfields Abu Dhabi and the first ever Emirati and Gulf national to perform in the line-up, Dubai DJ Ahmed Benchaibah (stage name: Mister Outlaw). Led by Dutch trance giant Tiesto and Canadian house master deadmau5, the incredible set saw more than 30 electronic stylists create a bone-shattering blend of dance, electronica and house.

2012 – Armin van Buuren, David Guetta

The king of trance brought the night to a frenzied close for Creamfields 2012. Playing crowd favourites such as Dash Berlin’s Waiting and Nadia Ali’s Feels So Good, among many of his hit tracks, the crowds were in no doubt they were watching a master at work in what was one of the UAE’s defining music moments.

2013: The Prodigy, Calvin Harris

Pioneers of the electronic movement, when The Prodigy closed Creamfields Abu Dhabi 2013, it wasn’t just great, it was epic. Kicking off with their 1994 break-beat-heavy EP Voodoo People, Keith Flint and the legendary band got old and new-school ravers alike moving late into the night with a 20-track set list that included Breathe, Firestarter and Spitfast.

2014: Hardwell, Armin van Buuren

A packed house, two stages, eight hours and 12 acts, the 2014 Creamfields Abu Dhabi had fans talking for months afterwards. Hailing from Breda, Netherlands, DJ Hardwell cemented his set in the archives of UAE electronic music history, with a 90-minute performance featuring pulsing tracks of his chart-toppers like Apollo, Young Again and Dare You. Known for his love of fandom across the globe, DJ Hardwell had fans chanting his name as he stood on the turntables and raised a UAE flag to the cheering crowd.

-Wait for it-

2017: deadmau5, Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Above & Beyond…Let’s do this!
