As the last spell of rain drifts away from the unlikely desert to likelier destinations, the pleasant series of events in Dubai rumble on.

Put on your light jackets, cardigans and boots, before they’re tucked away in the back of your closet for summer, and get ready to have a zesty weekend under the clouds.

Here are 5 events designed to have your ragged self rejuvenated:

1. Open Day @ The Courtyard Playhouse

Try something new. Courtyard Playhouse’s lighthearted improv classes will have you jogging your brains with plenty of laughs. Learn about improv by watching a show, attending a workshop and chit-chat with the actors.

When: 10am – 2pm, Saturday, March 12 2016 – Pop in anytime!
10am-11am Kids Speech and Drama Class
11am-1pm Drop In Specialist Class with Shawn Kinley (Stage fighting, Mime & Physical Theatre)
1pm-3pm Improv Adults Class (open for guests to watch only)

2. Chocolate Puma @ Zero Gravity

The Dutch Chocolate Puma are back with a heavy-load line-up of Zero Gravity’s resident DJs Andrew Hartley, Grant Collins and Chris Wright. Be warned: this is a dance party, so we hope you’re ready to move. This is a 21+ event.

When: 6pm-3am, Thursday, March 10 [House party begins at 8pm]

3. Pablo and Miro, Passion and Poetry @ The Annex

How were the works and lives of these two cultural icons knit together? Displaying over 250 works sourced from collections around the world, this exhibit showcases their lithographs, ceramics and graphics. Drop in and borrow some inspiration from the giants.

4. Etisalat Beach Canteen

Foodies, the Dubai Food Festival isn’t done yet. There are cooking demos, an artisan market, storytelling, yoga and tons of delicious food. Gather the family and head out. You can see the full schedule here.

5. Eden Beach Club presents Sharam
